The idea for bizk.it really came together on the back of three challenges we faced ourselves in both setting up and scaling companies. Firstly, when we started e-Man back in 2000 we had no idea how to run a company. We wasted many hours attempting to put systems in place that were either too expensive or simply not effective. Basically, we had the idea and the market exploitation plan, but zero knowledge of how to structure our company in terms of our finances and administration.
The second problem for us was scale and how to manage the initial systems we had set up. We had our invoicing held in one place, our admin somewhere else, contacts in a different place and we were paying for document storage, our infomation was organised but duplicated and it meant that as we began to grow, these processes became more complicated for us to manage, which increased our overhead.
We decided that if we created a platform that combined an essential set of tools that was so ridiculously simple to use, it would educate someone had never dealt with any aspect of running a business, yet assist a rapidly growing business to scale easier and much more cost effectively we would be onto a winner. So we built bizk.it.
